Meet Breya! This tall and graceful lady is quite happy to go with the flow and get on whatever wavelength her humans are on. Whether you move like molasses or run like the wind, she makes for a wonderful sidekick on your adventures. She's happy to chill while her people relaxing, though for Breya relaxing usually means getting pets too if she has any say in it. A cuddle-bug at heart, Breya loves to be loved in any manner you see fit - head scratches, a nice brush-down or snuggles, and she offers up heaps of adoration in return.

A big girl with a big bark, Breya will very quickly let you know if someone is approaching the house, but for how big and strong she is, she's still is very easy to walk on leash. She's friendly when meeting new people and is very well-mannered in the home. Even though she can easily reach food on the counter, she doesn't go after it. She won't even eat the food you've dropped on the floor unless she gets an ok. She also does really well left home alone and doesn't get into any trouble.

Breya is very attentive to her people, especially when she knows you have a treat. She already knows sit, down, shake, go to bed and stay and is learning all kinds of new skills in APA!'s Total Obedience Program (TOP).

As a TOP dog, Breya has a personalized training plan and works with a volunteer trainer several times a week to help her learn the skills to become the best dog she can be! She is perfecting walking nicely on leash, sitting calmly when approached by strangers or other dogs and "place", which means she will go to a specific place in your home on command.

Once Breya successfully completes all the skills on her training plan, she will be considered TOP Dog Ready! Breya is working hard to become a wonderful companion, and as a part of APA's Total Obedience Program you can work with APA staff to continue to build a training relationship with her after adoption and master all the TOP dog skills together. Check out a video on APA's CGC program, on which the TOP was based: https://vimeo.com/89434193

Well-trained, beautiful, happy and loving, Breya is a super sweet girl is looking for a home with a whole lot of love to give. If that sounds like yours, come meet her!
