Rousseau is the sweetest, most loving and loyal dog you can find. She is the biggest cuddle bug and is totally content to spend all afternoon lying around or watching TV.

If she's not doing that, she's playing with her favorite moose toy. Mr. Moose has been her favorite toy and she'll toss it around and nibble on it.

Rousseau is incredibly smart and loves working for her food and treats. She already knows several commands such as down, sit and shake. She is crate-trained and knows how to obey "heel on her walks. She also understands "off if she decides to sneak onto your couch.

She has had separation anxiety and dog reactivity. She's being treated by Positive Reinforcement training and responds incredibly well. New owners will be able to use that as a tool to help Rousseau settle into her new home.

Rousseau should be the only pet in the home; she needs a place that is pet free where she can continue decompressing after training or dealing with other dogs.

Whoever can be patient to help this sweet lady will have an incredible companion for the rest of their life. Come meet this lovable lady!

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?

This pup is currently located at our Town Lake Animal Center (1156 W. Cesar Chavez, but use 1200 Reserve Road for mapping purposes). We'd love to show them off to you! To learn more about them, head in any day between 12:00PM - 6:00PM. We are open 7 days a week! Go to Building B and ask to speak with a Matchmaker about fostering this pup. You will sit down and discuss all we know about them and, if it's a good fit, get to meet them then! Please budget for a wait time unless you arrive right at opening as we cannot dictate walk-in traffic (wait times tend to be highest in the evenings and on weekends). If this pup ends up not being the best fit, we have so many other pups in need that we can suggest for your household on the spot!

Come meet your new best friend
