The name "Brindle" might seem generic, but we couldn't think of a better name for such a stunningly handsome boy with the most perfect chevron markings. In a word, Brindle is gorgeous! He's also incredibly sweet and has the most soulful eyes to go with his amazing good looks and personality.

If that's not reason enough to meet him, you should know that Brindle is a model houseguest with A+ ratings in the home. This elegant, long-legged boy really knows how to mind his manners. He's potty-trained, happy to go in his crate and a is good boy left on his own while his people are out doing human things.

Though he loves his couch time, Brindle enjoys stretching those long legs out on the trail, where he will happily walk right by your side at a leisurely pace. And bust out the rope toy and he'll morph into a giant puppy - you'll know it's game time when he strikes his adorable play-bow!

If you've got treats, Brindle will show you his tricks! This boy is super smart, and has been thriving in APA!'s Total Obedience Program. In fact, he is now TOP Dog Ready, which means he has already learned all the skills in his training plan. The Total Obedience Program (TOP) is modeled after the AKC's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. Dogs in the program learn skills including sit and down, walking nicely on leash, sitting calmly when approached by strangers, calmly walking past another dog, staying in a sit or down until told "free," coming when called and "place", which means Brindle will go to a specific place in your home on command.

Brindle has worked hard to become a wonderful companion, and as a part of APA's Total Obedience Program you can work with APA staff to continue to build a training relationship with him after adoption and master all the TOP dog skills together. Check out a video on APA's CGC program, on which the TOP was based: https://vimeo.com/89434193

Trust us, when you meet Brindle you'll see he's all the dog you'll ever need. Come meet this handsome guy!

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?

This pup is currently located at our Town Lake Animal Center (1156 W. Cesar Chavez, but use 1200 Reserve Road for mapping purposes). We'd love to show them off to you! To learn more about them, head in any day between 11:30AM-6:00PM. We are open 7 days a week! Go to Building B and ask to speak with a Matchmaker about fostering this pup. You will sit down and discuss all we know about them and, if it's a good fit, get to meet them then! Please budget for a wait time unless you arrive right at opening as we cannot dictate walk-in traffic (wait times tend to be highest in the evenings and on weekends). If this pup ends up not being the best fit, we have so many other pups in need that we can suggest for your household on the spot!

Come meet your new best friend
