Pringles is a goofy, playful, loyal guy who adores his humans tremendously, and he can't wait to meet the ones that will love him forever!

Pringles likes spending as much time with his people as possible and is constantly telling them how much he loves them by giving them kisses and snuggling them. He's full of adorable playful energy and bounces with joy as he runs around with his squeaky toys. When this goofy guy lays down, he stretches out as much as possible as if he's trying to taking up the whole room. He likes playing tug of war with both other dogs and humans and throws play bows all over the place.

Pringles is so loving to all the people he meets and will greet and give kisses to anyone. While he's very excited to meet strangers, he's quick to chill and snuggle once he's met their acquaintance. Pringles could go home with a well-matched doggie sibling and has done wonderfully with the 8 year-old, 20 lb, female resident dog on sleepovers with a volunteer. They played chase around the house and tug of war, and he even lets her win sometimes! He was very respectful and gentle her since she's smaller than him - she will regularly provide corrections when she does not want to play, and Pringles listens very well.

Pringles is great at sleeping through the night on his dog bed, then in the morning will come get cuddles once invited on the bed. Pringles has a pretty high energy level and would likely make a great running partner, but he's always chill on sleepovers with volunteers, and after a long walk, he loves to snuggle up and just hang out. He's fully house-trained and is making progress on his crate-training, though he's had the most success being left home with a canine friend to keep him company.

Pringles walks pretty well on leash and always responds quickly when asked for a "sit" or "down". He's very treat motivated and super smart and is learning all kinds new skills in APA!'s Total Obedience Program. The Total Obedience Program (TOP) is modeled after the AKC's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. As a TOP dog, Pringles has a personalized training plan and works with a volunteer trainer several times a week to help him learn the skills to become the best dog he can be! Pringles is learning skills like walking nicely on leash, sitting calmly when approached by strangers or other dogs, staying in a sit or down until told "free," coming when called and "place", which means he will go to a specific place in your home on command.

Once Pringles successfully completes all the skills on his training plan, he will be considered TOP Dog Ready! Pringles is working hard to become a wonderful companion, and as a part of APA's Total Obedience Program you can work with APA staff to continue to build a training relationship with him after adoption and master all the TOP dog skills together. Check out a video on APA's CGC program, on which the TOP was based: https://vimeo.com/89434193

Sweet, loving, goofy, loyal, Pringles would make a wonderful companion to any number of loving homes. He'd love an active one where people are around a lot of the time and who will include him in their adventures, and a well-matched doggie sibling may go along way with this sweet boy. Above all, he just wants to provide a loving friendship to his people. Come meet this great pup!
