Are you looking for an easy-going, intelligent dog with the world's most magnificent ears? Well look no further!

Jazzy really is the best of both worlds - a couch potato in the house and an intrepid explorer on the trail! Whether you're in the mood for curling up with a good book on a lazy Sunday afternoon or taking a stroll around the park, Jazzy will happily stay by your side!

Jazzy impressed her hosts when she was previously in an APA! foster home, where she proved to be completely house-trained and loved having use of the the doggie door. She slept quietly in her bed through the night and also did well in her crate.

Around the house, Jazzy gets in plenty of lazing around, preferably near (or on top of) her favorite people. And she loves Kong toys. She also makes for a good walking partner and might even be up an occasional jog. We think Jazzy would be a great match for a moderately active family where she can continue to receive some exercise and a lot of love. She's also popular girl in playgroup, getting nicely with her fellow shelter pups.

Jazzy's also in APA!'s Total Obedience Program (TOP), which is modeled after the AKC's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. As a TOP dog, Jazzy has a personalized training plan and works with a volunteer trainer several times a week to help her learn the skills to become the best dog she can be! She is learning skills like down, sitting calmly when approached by strangers or other dogs, staying in a sit or down until told "free," coming when called and "Place", which means she will go to a specific place in your home on command.

As a part of APA's Total Obedience Program you can work with APA staff to continue to build a training relationship with Jazzy after adoption and master all the TOP dog skills together. Check out a video on APA's CGC program, on which the TOP was based: https://vimeo.com/89434193

Of all Jazzy's great qualities, you'll love the way she lights up when she sees you. She has a special way of luring you in with a look that says,"Want to go have some fun?" Come meet Jazzy and see how much she has to offer!
