Marty has a way of coming across as a gruff dude, but he just likes to take his time to get to know and trust his new human friends, then he proves to be a happy and loving little guy. When he sees his trusted friends arrive, he always runs to greet them, and will kiss your fingers if he really likes you. Tennis balls seem to be the way to his heart.

When he gets excited his adorable ears bouncing up and down, then he grabs his ball and settles down nearby. He has the best smiley face and it feels special when you see that you've made him happy. An independent pup, Marty likes to be near his people, but it's kind of like living with a little furry version of your grumpy neighbor who's really just a soft marshmallow inside. He likes having his space, but he's very easy to make happy - he just wants a bit of attention, a cushy bed. And food. Marty LOVES his food and he's great at letting you know it's dinner time!

Marty takes his time to warm up to other dogs, but he's gotten along well with smaller ones, seeming to prefer the ladies. He also walks well on leash, is house-trained and does well left alone in his little xpen suite, so he should transition well to crate-training
.
Marty would love a quiet household who'd like a little hangout buddy but one that will take occasional kisses in lieu of cuddling. Come meet this adorable pup!
