Despite his regal name, King Triton appreciates the simple things in life - playing with his toys, snuggling, and most of all, being with his people. Whenever you're together, KT (as he's affectionately called) will curl up at your feet, next to, or on top of you if you want - or he can stretch out on a nearby dog bed and chill out. If and when you want to play, he's there and ready to share his toys. He likes playing tug and fetch, loves sunbathing outside, and has been known to splash in a kiddie pool (how cute is that?). He's good in a car, great on a leash, and perfectly house-broken. His whole body wiggles when he sees the people he loves, and he's learned to eat a cheeseburger politely, should you choose to give him one. You couldn't ask for a more adoring and affectionate companion, with great obedience skills to boot!

Over the years, this sweet dog has developed separation anxiety, which is a condition that can be improved in most cases with the right tools and time to adjust. Right now there is nothing scarier to him than being left alone at night or being confined. However, he currently lives in his own Tiny Home at APA! and has learned to stay by himself for a while in that environment.

He's looking for an adopter who can help him with his separation anxiety by following a simple customized plan for about 20 minutes a day when he first moves in. You'll receive free assistance from experts who specialize in separation anxiety to guide you through that plan. If you live in the Austin, TX, area, he has a group of dedicated friends who'd like to help make sure he's not left alone longer than he can handle whenever you don't have anyone to watch him or other creative solutions fall short. In exchange for spending the initial time and dedication to helping him adjust, you'll get a truly devoted companion of a lifetime!

An ideal home for King Triton is with only adults and mature teenagers. He'd love a home with a yard to sun himself in and where a lot of strangers aren't going in and out. He might be able to live with a well-matched dog - this handsome boy has made some lady dog friends at APA! who he enjoys playing with - check out his video!
