Kline is a whole lot of sweetness and fun wrapped in an adorable little package, and this is what his foster mom has to say about him:

"Kline doesn't want to play fetch with ropes or other toys, he's a much more classic guy and prefers to stick to tennis balls. He is content to do this for a long time and after a a few great rounds he comes right inside and crashes out for a great long nap!

Inside the house he is very well behaved and just needs a toy or two with which he'll entertain himself for a long time. Once he's tired of rolling around like a goof ball, he's most content to sit at my feet while I do the dishes, laundry, etc. Kline's favorite place to be is right by you no matter what!"

Kline has the most beautiful eyes that instantly endear him to everyone he meets. He also knows how to lay it on thick, and he'll make himself at home with anyone and everyone. He loves to cuddle and will sit next to his person and kiss their ears, then climb into their lap to snuggle in nice and close. While he adores humans, Kline is also good at staying calm when meeting new people. This thoughtful boy thinks it would be a shame to overwhelm anyone with his cuteness!

Kline walks nicely on leash and has the cutest little prance as he trots along. He also has very good manners in the home, he's house-trained and settles down in his crate after a bit of fussing.

On top of being gorgeous and highly affectionate, Kline is a super smart pup and already knows sit, shake, rollover and "place". And he's learning all kinds of new skills in APA!'s Total Obedience Program (TOP), which is modeled after the AKC's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. As a TOP dog, Kline has a personalized training plan and works with a volunteer trainer several times a week to help him learn skills like sitting calmly when approached by other dogs, staying in a sit or down until told "free," coming when called and "place", which means he will go to a specific place in your home on command.

Kline is working hard to become a wonderful companion, and as part of APA's Total Obedience Program you can work with APA staff to continue to build a training relationship with Kline after adoption and master all the TOP dog skills together. Check out a video on APA's CGC program, on which the TOP was based: https://vimeo.com/89434193

With those amazing eyes and his goofy, affectionate nature, Kline has become a staff and volunteer favorite, and he's more than ready to become yours. Come meet this great pup!

APA!’s Barn Cat Program Provides You With Your Favorite Whiskered Workers

Some cats prefer mice-hunting to bird-watching, and some prefer laying in grass to sitting on laps. Here at APA!, we believe that barn cats still deserve a chance to live happy and healthy.
