Ikat is a spunky 7-year-old Anatolian Shepherd/Lab mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for life. He’s the kind of dog who knows how to have fun—whether that’s chasing squirrels with enthusiasm, fetching his favorite ball, splashing around in the water, or stretching out in the sun for a perfect afternoon nap.
This handsome guy is as smart as he is playful. Ikat is both house-trained and crate trained, and he comes loaded with an impressive list of tricks: sit pretty, down dog (yes, yogis—he’s got you covered), dab, spin, roll over, drop it, wait, leave it, and even “take it politely” for gentle treat-taking. He loves learning and thrives when he gets to show off just how clever he is.
At home, Ikat is a really cool, easy companion who settles in nicely and enjoys being near his people. He would do best in a calm, adult home, as he can feel nervous around children. While he can tolerate other dogs for short periods, Ikat would truly shine as the only pet—where he can soak up all the love, attention, and one-on-one time without any pressure or competition.
