Our Miss Piggy is a small and spunky, and sometimes sassy, force of nature. She is full of adoring love one minute, and the next she could be telling you off. She'll encourage you to give her attention when she wants it, but she also likes to have her alone time. Once you are friends, she enjoys being held like a baby and will reach for your hand with her paw to encourage your attention all while flashing her cute toothy grin.
Unfortunately, Miss Piggy has a broken pelvis from being hit by a car, so is in need of a foster home to heal in.
Miss Piggy needs an adopter who is willing to go slow with building a trusting relationship with her and someone who will allow her space when she wants it. Once you build a bond with her, she will be a loving companion that will stick by your side. Her favorite activities include, but are not limited to: going on walkies, playing (and attacking) her squeaky toys and napping on the couch.
Miss Piggy needs a home with one (maybe two) adults and no kids and a quiet place to retreat to if you have guests come over. In addition, she would prefer to be the only pet in the home, but has the potential to live with a dog or cat with a high level of management. Busy apartment complexes will be too stressful for her, and she won't want to hang out with you in public places (patio restaurants, dog parks, etc). If Miss Piggy sounds like a good option join your family, please hit the adoption inquiry button!
INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?
We are currently closed to the public and are only open by appointment (foster or adopter), but we are still diligently working to place dogs in foster homes! You can inquire about fostering a specific dog by submitting an inquiry through the dog's individual profile on this website or by emailing [email protected] to get more information about how to be matched with a foster dog.
Please do not visit our shelters without talking with us first. To prevent community spread, we cannot have large crowds gathering in our shelters.
