Scott is a handsome young pup looking for a low-key and quiet place to call home. Smart and sensitive, Scott can be a little nervous about new people at first but if you give him some time and earn his trust, you will be set with a loyal, fun adventure buddy, up for whatever activities you would like to do! Scott loves exploring the great outdoors, taking in all the sniffs on walks around the neighborhood and low-traffic hiking trails. While he loves to be active, Scott also appreciates the importance of relaxation and nap time! He has been noted to have good home manners and had no accidents or destructive behavior while on sleepovers with several APA! volunteers. With his friends, Scott is very sweet and affectionate. He'll be so happy to see you when you get home from work or errands that he will greet you with excited wiggles and kisses!

Scott is smart and already knows several of his basic obedience skills and continues to learn new things in APA's Total Obedience Program (TOP), which is modeled after AKC's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. Check out a video on APA's CGC program to learn more: https://vimeo.com/89434193

Scott is looking forward to finding one or maybe a couple of special people to call his family. In exchange for a soft spot to rest and some outdoor adventures, Scott will be a loyal friend and companion, and an easygoing and respectful housemate. Are you the one Scott has been waiting to meet?

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?

This pup is currently located at our Town Lake Animal Center (1156 W. Cesar Chavez, but use 1200 Reserve Road for mapping purposes). We'd love to show them off to you! To learn more about them, head in any day between 11:30AM-6:00PM. We are open 7 days a week! Go to Building B and ask to speak with a Matchmaker about fostering this pup. You will sit down and discuss all we know about them and, if it's a good fit, get to meet them then! Please budget for a wait time unless you arrive right at opening as we cannot dictate walk-in traffic (wait times tend to be highest in the evenings and on weekends). If this pup ends up not being the best fit, we have so many other pups in need that we can suggest for your household on the spot!

Come meet your new best friend
