"I've been through a lot and I want a home."

Nora is a sweet little hippo with a gorgeous blue coat. She's blind in her left eye, but we think it adds character, like she's a cool doggie pirate or the most adorable supervillain ever. She has a medium activity level; she enjoys a brisk walk and playing catch with her Kong ball, but then mostly likes to just lounge around.

Nora previously lived with a bunch of Chihuahua's and a German Shepherd in a foster home and got along well with all of them, though it took her a little time to warm up to the Shephard. But by the second night they were good friends and never had an issue with toys or food. She's been a wonderful houseguest in her foster home. She's house-trained and does really well in her crate. She knows "sit" and will go in her crate on command, though she prefers you lure her with a treat, just because, well, treats. She's also a very quiet dog to have around. And while she can take a while to warm up to new men until she figures out they're okay, once she does, her sweet, affectionate nature comes out.

Nora likes to get scritches and snuggle and may even climb into your lap, and once she does, good luck with convincing her she's not a lap dog. She'll give tail wags and hop around to show that she's happy. Her favorite game is "catch", though she doesn't have time for all that fetching nonsense.

Nora will make a wonderful addition to any number of loving homes, and one with a yard and people who will give her plenty of attention will make her the happiest dog in the world! Come meet her!
