With a tennis ball in his mouth and his tail wagging hard, Rochester will romp up to you in his wiggly, unique way and make you fall in love with him. He will keep you laughing with his goofy facial expressions and boisterous gallop. Rochester looks at every new day with the same happy grin and eagerness to have a good time!

Rochester may be a little big for a lap dog, but he doesn't know that. He's a big cuddler. He likes to be as close to you as possible -- even right on top of you if you'll let him. He lays his head or leans his body on people to say hello and give comfort. He doesn't seem to expect any pets or anything, he just wants to show his love. He's also a people pleaser and gets happier when you're pleased with him.

Rochester LOVES playing fetch and is also excited to learn new tricks with tasty treats. He is very smart and learns quickly - he already knows a few commands (sit, down, stay and come) and likes to practice new skills. His leash skills are coming along beautifully. After he gets some exercise outside, he loves snuggling with his favorite humans, giving them kisses and leaning on them for head massages.

Rochester would love to find a household that has plenty of space for him to bounce around and good energy for his playfulness. He gets along well with his foster's playful pup and will play for hours or nicely tell her to calm down. He'd do well with a canine companion, or as an only child with the option for play dates with other dogs. If you're looking for a fun, goofy friend, come meet Rochester!

APA!’s Barn Cat Program Provides You With Your Favorite Whiskered Workers

Some cats prefer mice-hunting to bird-watching, and some prefer laying in grass to sitting on laps. Here at APA!, we believe that barn cats still deserve a chance to live happy and healthy.
