Gold is a very laid back pup who is immediately friendly with strangers, but does not jump, mouth or overwhelm them. She politely sits when approached and lifts her head for a bit of petting. She also likes to roll over for tummy rubs.

It appears that Gold may have had some training in the past, as she is very obedient, walks nicely on leash and comes when called. She also knew immediately how to use the doggie door in her foster home. She is not an overly clingy dog, but likes to be reasonably close. One of her favorite spots is a doggy bed in the kitchen, which she settles into when her human friends are occupied.

Outside, Gold bounds around happily, likes to chase a ball and explore. Gold is currently living with seven other dogs who she gets along great with, and a nine-year old boy who spends a lot of time petting and hugging her. Gold has no problem being left alone and has not shown any signs of being destructive. She just goes to her doggy bed and lies down when her people leave.

Due to a traumatic back injury that has healed, Gold has some issues with incontinence but is still very low maintenance. She willingly wears a discreet doggy diaper at night and when left alone in the house, and she has recently shown that she can "hold it" to some extent, so this may continue to improve somewhat over time.

Gold would love a home where there are plenty of people around and easy access to a yard. In return, she promises to be the most well-behaved, gentle and loving companion you could hope for. Come meet her!
