Virginia dreams of bunnies, and squirrels, opossums, raccoons - even birds, if they dare tread upon the ground.

People of all kinds seem to be Virginia's next favorite thing. She greets the elderly wheelchair-bound woman in her foster's building with kisses when they ride the elevator together, putting her paws on the wheelchair arms to lick her face. Virginia does the same with infants in strollers, once the moms and dads understand she wants nothing more than to say hello. Her tiny stubby tail goes into overdrive anytime someone says hello and pets her.

Virginia likes to wake her people with kisses every morning, particularly if the alarm hasn't yet done that job. She loves to snuggle, sitting next to you on the couch when you're working, poking her head into view during Zoom calls and curling up next to you on the bed when it's time to sleep.

At 3 years old, she has lots of energy to expend. She would love to find a family who can give her plenty of exercise and playtime. Ultimately, she naps when you're gone and buries herself in piles of clean laundry on the bed if any is there for her to burrow into.

Virginia becomes a braver little doggie with each passing day. No longer is she afraid to descend stairs, and occasionally will jump into the car on her own when she goes for rides. She is fully house-trained and is learning how to be a good girl on the leash.

Her presence has made her foster's home a happier place. Soon after being in yours, you'll realize Virginia is the reason you're smiling a lot more than you did before she arrived. Give us a holler so you can meet her. She can't wait to meet you!
