Zoomer may look like a police dog, but he's really a cuddle bunny. He loves his people very much and is always asking for their cuddles and petting. He has the nickname "Django" and likes to go by that. He can be an independent boy, too. He does lots of snoozing, and he loves to find a sunny spot in the backyard to lay on his back with his legs sprawled out. Indoors, he loves to lay on the floor with his head resting on the window sill so he can watch the world go by.

Now in foster care, he loves his daily walks, doing great on his leash and curiously sniffing everything. And of course, he'd like to chase those squirrels. He's even climbed up on a railing in the backyard to get near a squirrel nest. He pays little attention to people he sees on walks. However, at home he's protective of his people and domain, so he needs further friendly training.

He will answer to "sit" and "stay" when a treat is involved. He wants to be playful and has learned to gently mouth his stuffed toy squirrel, so he will probably love to learn how to play with other toys. He loves his crate and sleeps in it overnight. Hearing thunder scares him, so he's allowed to crawl in bed with his fosters for their cuddles. He bonds well with humans who give him love and affection.

Zoomer will love a calm home with few visitors. A parent with the time and experience to train him to accept visitors would be ideal. He also should enjoy a dog buddy who will help him learn to play together. Come meet this lovable boy on an outdoor walk. He'll decide you're quite acceptable and will follow you home!
