Are you looking for a playful, active, and persistent pup? Then look no further than Sokka! This pup has a cuteness factor of 10 and is very soft to the touch. You could pet her forever and she would just love it. She'll enjoy curling up next to you on the bed and hanging out on the couch with you, laying across your lap - she's a great companion! She is very polite and well-mannered when meeting new people. She will walk up to them to say hi, ask for pets, listen to their commands, and stay calm and gentle.

Sokka's perfect day would be to play with foster siblings for a very long time, followed by a long nap. She also loves chewing on ice cubes, but has not shown much interest in chew toys. She seems to enjoy chasing a ball or toy that has been thrown, and would most likely love to learn fetch. She enjoys training and learning new tricks. If you want a smart dog who will catch on quickly, she's happy to oblige.

If you have a pup that wants another friend who can help get out their energy, then Sokka is perfect for your house. She will run and chase and be chased by the other dog. They will play, but also roam around together inspecting the yard and doing their own things. When meeting older dogs, she doesn't insist on playing if they don't want to; she just sniffs them.

This loving girl prefers for her humans to be home and would love training on understanding that her humans will eventually come home. Sokka has made progress on her potty training and knows she should go to the bathroom outside. She also needs continued crate training. She's happy to have meals and snacks there, but doesn't like to sleep in it. She prefers to sleep with her humans. She does well on her walks, but will pull when she sees other dogs because they are so much fun to play with!

Sokka is a smart pup who loves learning commands and has mastered "sit," "down" and "place." When it comes to humans, she will seek out interaction and wishes to be near them, but she won't curl up in your lap unless invited. She would love active parents who are around a lot and can take her out for walks, hikes or exploring dog parks. An older experienced dog would make a good sibling if it matches her energy and playfulness. It could show her the ropes and help her learn how to dog.

Come meet Sokka, she'd love to get your pets and belly rubs!

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
