If you're looking for a walking partner, Pender can be your guy! He'll be relaxed, strolling next to you with his hips swaying side to side, and he loves to sniff and explore what he sees. And he'll always check in with you to make sure you also see interesting things. If he sees a scampering bunny or a squirrel, he'll look at you as if to ask "Did you just see that?

This friendly boy becomes increasingly trusting and affectionate with people he meets, the better he gets to know them. He will lean on you, hoping for your petting. Very sweet and gentle, he seems to remember all his human friends and is happy to see them. He's also a playful boy who loves to play fetch, and he's having fun in his playgroup. A smart boy, he understands "sit" and "shake" and picks up on commands quickly. And he loves treats, but is very respectful and gentle when taking them.

Pender will love to move in with patient parents who can give him time to settle in and warm up, then spend lots of time with him on walks, playing fetch and just hanging out together. He'll reward them with so much trust and affection. And he may enjoy having a doggie sibling to play with. Come meet this friendly, lovable boy!

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?

We are currently closed to the public and are only open by appointment (foster or adopter), but we are still diligently working to place dogs in foster homes! You can inquire about fostering a specific dog by submitting an inquiry through the dog's individual profile on this website or by emailing [email protected] to get more information about how to be matched with a foster dog.

Please do not visit our shelters without talking with us first. To prevent community spread, we cannot have large crowds gathering in our shelters.
