Breckenridge is a shy youngster with a sweet personality and lots of promise. He would love a forever family to bring him out of his shell! Breckenridge doesn't seem to have received much attention in his prior life, and as a result he's still learning how to be a dog. He is a tentative, shy fellow who should be a great companion once he has received some leadership and love.

At the moment Breckenridge prefers to spend a lot of time in his crate. He's not quite ready to venture too far out into the world. He's still learning to walk on a leash. Although we can tell he has a gentle, friendly nature, he's currently content just to be around humans rather than seek out affection.

Breckenridge displays a low energy level, but we're hoping once he becomes comfortable and confident in his new home he'll become a bit spunkier. He's in the prime of doggie life, and has a handsome athletic build, so we know he'll be looking to increase his activity level!

If you've got some time and patience for him, we know Breckenridge will take you on a fun journey. He'll be incredibly grateful to receive all the creature comforts that have been missing from his life. Toys, walks, treats, and affection are all new concepts to him, but we know there is a great dog in there! Do you already have a dog in your home? Fantastic! Breckenridge would probably prefer a family that has another dog who can help him learn his way around the house and gain confidence.

Once you gain Breckenridge's trust, you'll have a loyal friend for years to come! And don't forget, when you adopt from APA you won't just be giving him a good home - you'll also be helping the next dog who can join us!
Come meet your new best friend
