Houston is a beautiful boy who is still learning that the world is not the scariest place he once thought it was. He has not always been treated well by humans and despite that, he's a very sweet boy. He's very shy and timid, and would love a patient human who can work with him while he gets comfortable. He's now in foster care, and he's finding out that these scary humans can be quite nice. They'll even give him those treats and peanut-butter Kongs he loves! He also ADORES American cheese (but who doesn't)!!

This may be the first time Houston has been with kind, gentle people, so he is taking time to adjust to trusting them. He is making progress, and will need a patient person who would love to watch while he comes out of his shell with some TLC. This quiet and sweet boy is definitely happy to receive treats, and would love to have a safe place where he can go when the world is too overwhelming.

This charming boy will do best in a quiet, low-traffic home with one or two grownups who are patient, and will continue helping him learn to relax and trust them. He'd even be okay sharing the home with a low-key and reassuring doggie companion. Come meet this shy, lovable boy and help him come out of his shell!
