Are you looking for a work from home sidekick? Who isn't, these days! Lucky for you, Poncho is ready to be your wingman! Poncho is currently in an APA foster home and is showing that he has all the chops to take on the demands of sharing your home with you and your family.

Poncho has a sweet, gentle nature. He is accepting of strangers, children, older kids, adults, you name it. He would love to be friends with everyone! Poncho takes a bit of time to warm up to new places and situations, and he is so playful and cuddly once he does. He loves gazing into your eyes longingly, and will rest his head on your lap during those punishing Zoom calls to make sure you're paying attention.

Poncho does very well when he's home alone, because home is his favorite place to be! You can leave the TV on - don't worry, he won't complain no matter what show you have on. When you come back, he loves to trot around the house checking every room to see how you are doing, and remind you of how cute he is. He never barks for attention or growls, and he's easy to bathe.

Poncho is doing amazing learning "sit" and "lay down" as his first commands. He has been easy to train because of his people-friendly nature (and his love of cheese)! He loves to play with rope toys and blankets when he's in the mood to burn off a few extra calories. He will always let you know when he's ready for a romp with his play stance and a tail wag, but if you're not available to play with him he'll quickly get the message and calm down. For such a young dog, Poncho sure is good at matching your activity level.

Poncho would do well in a patient forever home that will allow him time to warm up to his new surroundings so he can fully show off his smarts and sweet personality. He is a gentle, curious, and cheerful fellow who will bring lots of positive vibes to your home and be your life-long bestie! And don't forget, when you adopt from APA you'll also be helping the next dog who can join us. Come meet Poncho and let him light up your life!
Come meet your new best friend
