Introducing Clifford, an adorable three year old house trained Labrador Retriever/Coonhound. Clifford plays with a Great Dane and does fine, but he has a rough play style with dogs that are smaller than him. Clifford has to be very slowly introduced to other dogs-especially when on a leash. Clifford is good with children and met a 4 year old girl inside the home. He was very gentle with her and laid on the ground and let her pet him for hours and let her pull on his tail and ears. Clifford is not good with cats however, as he barks and lunges towards them in an aggressive style.

Clifford roams free and sleeps most of the day after he's had a morning walk. If he gets too bored he will get into the trash can if it's too easily accessible. Clifford is crate trained which means you can leave him in his crate while you are out and about running your errands knowing he is safe and inside his crate.

Clifford is a big softy (both in his coat and his personality)! He has a small stuffed monkey that he takes everywhere with him and is very gentle with it. Clifford loves to give his version of hugs, he'll put his forehead directly into your body and he expects all of the cuddles in return. He also forgets that he's a big boy and definitely expects you to save room for him on the couch!

Clifford is VERY smart and learns routines within a couple of days. He's very treat motivated and is willing to learn just about anything! Clifford is completely house trained and crate trained, and will go in his crate willingly! Clifford needs to be introduced to other dogs very slowly, and should probably never meet a cat. He absolutely adores kids and will lay on the ground while they climb all over him.

Clifford would do well as an only pet or in a home with other pets and children. He loves attention! Clifford would enjoy a fenced in yard that he can run in, but he can also live in an apartment with regular walks.

Clifford is one big goof who would make an absolute best friend and adventure partner! Do you have a place in your heart and room in your home for the happy, winsome Clifford? Come meet Clifford today!

Living as a stray, Sapphire was struck by a car. She was bleeding, writhing in pain from nerve damage and bruised ribs — and pregnant.
