Meet Bookworm, a gorgeous, loving, gentle, and silly Labrador Retriever who is looking for her forever home. She loves dogs of any kind and will match her energy to theirs. If her canine friends are calm, she is completely chill, and if they are playful, she loves to engage in play time. When her humans wake up, she is always waiting for them to lift their heads. When they do, her tail goes crazy, and she just loves morning belly scratches!

This house-trained lady takes a little bit of time to get used to her surroundings, and will need some time to adjust. She is mostly house-trained, but when she's in a new environment she has been known to have an accident or two. Once she's fully adjusted, she knows the place to potty is outside. She absolutely loves going on walks, and she pulls a bit on the leash because she is so excited to stretch her legs!

Bookworm absolutely loves to be around her human friends and would love a home where her people are around most of the day. She takes a bit of time to adjust when her friends leave but will settle down quickly for a nap until her pals return. She can startle easily and will need a patient, low-traffic home that can be understanding when she gets a little scared. When being introduced to new people, she does best with people who approach cautiously and introduce themselves slowly.

Bookworm would do well in a home that can provide her lots of reassurance, affection and attention. She would thrive in a house that potentially has another canine pal that can give her reassurance and show her the ropes, and with people who are home for most of the day. She would also love a home with either a big yard, or with people who will take her for frequent walks throughout the day.

Come meet this gentle gal, she would love a belly rub!
