Lamp, lovingly called Leo in his foster home, has so many incredible qualities beyond his extremely good looks. He has never met a dog he doesn't love - he's very approachable, playful, patient and has never reacted negatively towards a dog even when they won't stop sniffing him. Lamp would really love to share his forever home with another dog as they help him feel confident and he loves their company. He has even been quite trainable in basic commands - sit, stay, come, paw, down. He's very treat motivated and responds to lots of positive reinforcement.

Lamp does GREAT on a leash. He does not usually pull but has developed a recent interest in squirrels so may tug if one is nearby. He's also been aggressive when seeing cats, chasing them in the yard. He is the best snuggle buddy and loves to lay close, rest his head on your lap and just be near his people. He loves the car and will settle in the backseat well. He's a great guard dog and gives a big bark when someone comes to the door.

He LOVES playing ball and chewing on his balls like bubblegum and can keep himself occupied doing that. He'll retrieve well - throwing the ball with the Chuck it and he loves running for the ball. He is house-trained and does well in his crate for when he's left alone for up to four hours - especially when he gets a peanut butter treat filled kong to work on when you first leave the house (and even leaving the TV on for some sound).

Lamp is eager to please and gains more confidence every day. He can be fearful of people, especially men, who come near the house or ring the doorbell and takes a bit of time to warm up. He would love a patient and calm home with people who can give him time to warm up and continue his training. Come meet Lamp, he'd love to play fetch! https://www.instagram.com/leolamp2021/
