Bumpy is a loving, polite gentleman who would be a great addition to a family. He's currently living in an APA foster home and has rapidly shown us that he is more than ready to make a quick transition to his forever family!

You will love how respectful Bumpy is of both people and his house. He loves attention and all humans, but he doesn't jump or bark. He has such a gentle nature - he seems to be more concerned with your well-being than his own! He'll make sure you get plenty of affection, but only proper snuggles - he won't overwhelm you with sloppy kisses!
Bumpy has been quick to adapt to the rhythm of his foster home. He loves his regular morning and evening walks. He keeps a quick pace and enjoys exploring the neighborhood. He has good leash manners, and he doesn't let his curious nature distract him from his walker.

In the house he's been a well-mannered guest. He currently does not use a crate, but he stays mellow and spends a lot of time on his bed when its time relax, and he wouldn't mind joining you on the couch! His foster has been helping him brush up on basic commands, and he's been a quick study due to his people-pleasing nature and receptivity to positive training. At first, he was sad when his people left the home, but came to understand that they'll come back. Now he quickly settles down with one of his favorite toys.

You'll love Bumpy's expressive face - once he starts smiling it's hard to get him to stop! With a little encouragement you can bring out his silly side, especially if you get out one of his toys or if he knows it's time to eat or walk!

Bumpy could do well in almost any kind of home. He loves both children and adults. He ignores cats and even the chickens his foster family keeps. He gets along with most dogs, and he doesn't mind being groomed and he provides free entertainment by sleeping with his tongue hanging out!

After a (no pun intended) bumpy life, Bumpy is ready to settle in with your family to become a wonderful companion. He's got an optimistic nature and a lot of love to give. And don't forget, when you adopt from APA! you won't just be giving Bumpy a good home - you'll also be helping the next dog who can join us!
