Mama J is a friendly, playful girl. She may be nervous when she first meets new people, but then she becomes their very comfortable best friend, so grateful to have their loving attention - and their cuddles.

Mama is happy to be a best friend for people and other dogs. She adores the doggie companion in her foster home, and they are so affectionate to each other. She's also a calm, kind lady who loves playing with any toy and running in the backyard.

She was an excellent mother to her litter of puppies, and now that they're off to new homes, she's ready to begin her training. She can do well on her leash walking, still pulling some and trying to run toward those squirrels and rabbits she sees. And she's making progress on answering to "sit" and "stay." She's also house-trained and doing well in her pen, staying there when home alone.

Mama J is a curious girl who's eager to learn and will do well in a family home. She'd especially love to go on frequent walks. She is heartworm positive, but all that means is that she'll need a couple of months of rest during treatment, at APA!'s expense. Come meet this adorable girl!
