Foster Needed: 5/7/21- 5/11/21

Roscoe is such an incredible guy. Once he has decided that you are his human, he'll be your most devoted and loyal boy. He knows this is a scary world, and he'll trust you to keep him safe. He'll become your love bunny, sitting with his head on your lap while you watch TV and hoping for pets, scratches on his neck and grooming for his soft, shiny coat.

When in foster, this high-energy boy spins in circles and wags his tail with excitement when it's time to go for walks, or play with toys and those games of fetch that he loves. He's already a skillful dude who understands "sit," "come," "recall" and "place" and is working on "drop." And he understands that "off" means to take his Kong toys, Nyla bones and ropes off the couch and bed.

Roscoe likes going for long walks, and walks well on his leash with a gentle leader with minor reactions when seeing other dogs and people. He is fearful of other people he sees, and needs continued training to help him understand that strangers are okay. His training is beginning to help resolve this, and should continue. In foster, he became a couch potato who's happy to dream the afternoon away while his people work, just coming up to put his head on their laps for some loving. He's also a house-trained boy who will hop in his crate to snooze. And he's excellent when left home alone, happy to stay in his crate or roam freely.

This sweet boy hopes to be the only pet in an adult only big home with a huge yard with people who can play fetch with him, take him on long walks - and continue his training to help him continue becoming confident and secure with all people he meets. See more of him on Instagram at @Roscoe_s.modern.life, and come meet him today!

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?

We are currently closed to the public and are only open by appointment (foster or adopter), but we are still diligently working to place dogs in foster homes! You can inquire about fostering a specific dog by submitting an inquiry through the dog's individual profile on this website or by emailing [email protected] to get more information about how to be matched with a foster dog.

Please do not visit our shelters without talking with us first. To prevent community spread, we cannot have large crowds gathering in our shelters.
