If your home could use a reliable yard watcher who will be on squirrel patrol, come meet Leia! This curious, independent girl loves to explore. And wow, when it snowed in Austin recently, she was super excited to run in this mysterious white stuff. On warmer days, she's a sunbather who's happy to just hang out in the yard, chewing on bones and rawhide and playing with toys.

Leia is a super sweet girl who comes up to her people when she wants their affection, rolling on her back or side for those belly rubs she loves. She lives in foster care with a doggie housemate. They are playful and tolerant of each other, and sometimes give each other kisses.

A well-behaved house guest, she has moments of playful spunk, but then is happy to chill and watch Netflix. She's a good listener who understands "sit" and "no," and is happy to sit for treats. And she's a house-trained girl who does well when home alone. She's just so excited to see her person return home!

This easy going lady would fit well in most homes, and could either be the only pet or should fit well with a dog sibling of a similar size. She has a possible hip dysplasia, but is still a playful, spunky companion. Come meet her, she'll just ask for a tushy pet and follow you home.

Come meet your new best friend
