Claire is a ray of sunshine on a rainy day - she truly is pure joy and such a special pup who is making progress in her life!

She enjoys playing with her squeaky toys and she loves meeting new people and dogs. She is so gentle with kids as they pet her and give her treats. She is an affectionate girl who's excited, happy and welcoming to everyone she meets - human and 4-legged. She came to the shelter paralyzed with spinal injury from a gunshot wound. Now in foster care, she is still considered paralyzed, but she is learning to stand and loves going for walks in her wheelchair.

This gentle, playful girl is friendly to every dog she meets. In foster, she's playing well with their two German Shepherds and they adore her. She also plays really well with a sister's medium-sized pups. She's had fun with a niece's boys, and has been curious about cats she's visited, but hasn't reacted to them. She's a smart girl who understands "stay," "wait" and "come." She is no longer incontinent and has begun her house-training, learning to go potty outside. And she and her doggie housemates free roam, doing well when their parents are away.

Claire is a loving, outgoing girl who will love a home with parents who can help her exercise her legs and care for her health. And she'll hope for a companion pup. Come meet this adorable girl, and see more about her on Instagram: @Claire.thepup.
