Sitter needed: 11/23/21 - 11/27/21

When you come meet Faye, she may ask for your credentials. She's initially a shy lady who wants to be sure you're a safe new acquaintance. Then as soon as she's sure you are a good human, she'll want your petting and snuggles. And she'll want to be by your side all day. She just needed a little time to get to know you.

When given time to decompress in a home, this sweet girl becomes trusting and playful. In her previous foster home she loved watching TV with her foster mom, snoozing and getting belly rubs. Once she got used to the outdoor surroundings, she began loving to go for walks and she's doing well on her leash. She's friendly to dogs she sees, just mostly sniffing them. In the home home, she seems to understand "stay." She's getting used to settling down in her crate, figuring out that her foster will come home. She also loves to sleep on beds and couches. She is also house-trained, finding the best hidden place outside to go. Once she's pottied, she does zoomies and rolls over on her back for petting.

Faye is a gentle girl who will thrive in a home where she can be with a parent who is with her a lot and one that has dog buddies after slow introductions. She is heartworm positive, but all that means is that she'll need a couple of months of rest during treatment, at APA!'s expense. Come meet this lovable girl!

Say "Yes" for Sapphire this Giving Tuesday

Living as a stray, Sapphire was struck by a car. She was bleeding, writhing in pain from nerve damage and bruised ribs — and pregnant.
