Are you looking for a fun dog companion for you and your dog? Then Shasta is your gal! Shasta just loves other pups, and would thrive in a home with another puppy friend. She will also entertain you with her sleeping antics! She moves her mouth and wags her tail vigorously in her sleep, and it's the cutest thing ever.

Shasta is having fun with the dog friend in her foster home, and when she and her foster buddy are given a treat, Shasta will keep hers and run around tossing it in the air, trying to get the other dog to chase her. She also

Shasta's favorite activities are tug-of-war, wrestling, and playing chase (alternating chaser). She also enjoys baking in the sun. She also loves other dogs and she feels comfortable with smaller/younger dogs. She will whine and wag her tail until the other dog engages in play. She is cautious around larger dogs, almost not knowing how to act, but any dog she has encountered on walks, she will wag her tail. She might even enjoy the company of a feline if she has a supervised situation.

She would ideally love older teenagers or adults who are not super loud. Shasta does well when home alone, especially if the house is puppy-proofed and if there is another dog to keep her engaged. She has been working on her house-training manners and she understands that number 2 is for outdoors. She still needs a bit of work, but that is also due to previous foster's marking their territory.

Shasta would just love to be in a home with another canine friend who can keep up her confidence, as she seems to thrive in a home with another playmate. If your dog is desperately seeking a playmate, then look no further than sweet Shasta. Come meet her with your canine friend today!

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
