Amaretto is a very smart puppy who's already so curious about these new things in her life. She's especially interested in those fun toys, and she'll actually try to climb in boxes and bins to get her favorite toys out to play with them.

This playful, very loving young girl is in foster, giving kisses to her people and hoping for their petting. She's having such fun playing with her sibling and her doggie housemates, a grown beagle and Australian shepherd. And she loves playing with the kids, a 1-year-old and 7- and 8-year-olds. She has a ball chasing them around the yard. And she loves chasing tennis balls, already close to bringing them back for a game of fetch.

She's using her potty pads while beginning her house-training, and she's doing well in her crate, sleeping there quietly overnight and staying there when her humans are away.

Amaretto enjoys her training, watching her human teachers intently. She will love a home where she can continue getting affection, attention and training from new parents and playtime with their kids. She'll do well with other dogs as she matures with her training and socialization. Come bring her a tennis ball and she'll follow you home.

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
