Jack is a rambunctious, playful, young boy who wants to be at the center of the party. But when everyone around him is busy, he is happy to just stretch out and take a nap, as long as he is as close as he can get to his human friends. Of course, if someone is around to give him a belly rub, so much the better. Jack is not too interested in young children, but gets on well with the ten-year old currently living with him, and likes to play tug of war, particularly if he can find a discarded sock or shoe to use. He is currently living with seven other dogs, all older and most very small. He has been a bit frustrated by their lack of interest in playing with him - and would probably appreciate a larger, younger dog buddy.

Jack is recovering from a gunshot wound to his front, right leg, and is on medication. He has energy and would love to ignore his injury and spend his time rushing around the garden chasing squirrels and investigating new smells. Once he is fully recovered, he will enjoy a human companion who is able to give him long walks and plenty of exercise.

In addition to walking very nicely on a leash, Jack is fully housetrained and has not had a single accident since moving in. He quickly learned to use the dog door, and takes himself outside unprompted when the need arises. He seems like a very smart dog who would respond well to learning new skills and commands.

Jack is a very handsome, sweet-natured dog who would make a wonderful and loyal companion and addition to any family. Come meet this sweetie pie!

Please do not visit our shelters without talking with us first. To prevent community spread, we cannot have large crowds gathering in our shelters.
