Dwight is a sweet, loving boy who can give his people the best kisses ever! When this very affectionate boy puts his chin on your leg, it's because he wants your love. And he'll even be your guard dog, wanting to protect you.

This active, playful boy is in foster care, where he's happy to run around the yard and play with balls and frisbees. Indoors, he likes chewing his toys (and whatever he finds). He walks best on a leash in a quiet and private location since he's reactive to strangers and other dogs he sees, pulling and tugging. He's a chatty boy who can have some anxiety moments, including when he meets new people, but he warms up to them with slow introductions.

He's a super smart, curious and well-behaved boy who understands "sit" and "lay down" and is learning about "heel." And he's a house-trained boy who sleeps well in his crate overnight.

Dwight hopes to be with parents who are home a lot and can continue his training. And he'd love lots of opportunities for running and other activities. Come meet this boy. He'll wiggle his butt and give you such happy kisses!

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?

We are currently closed to the public and are only open by appointment (foster or adopter), but we are still diligently working to place dogs in foster homes! You can inquire about fostering a specific dog by submitting an inquiry through the dog's individual profile on this website or by emailing [email protected] to get more information about how to be matched with a foster dog.

Please do not visit our shelters without talking with us first. To prevent community spread, we cannot have large crowds gathering in our shelters.
