Pure cuddle bug with a winning smile is seeking residency in YOUR home!

Slava is an exceptionally sweet shepherd mix who is safe, comfortable and happy in her foster home. Slava has been living with her foster and her two mid-sized dogs and they mostly get along swimmingly. Overall, she is a sweet, loving girl, who might not understand how large and strong she is, but her play is all in good fun. She would ideally do well with dogs that are her size.

Slava is most motivated to earn "good girl" accolades from her foster mom, along with pets and cuddles. Treats work very well, too, but the main thing she wants is to be part of a pack. She loves sunbathing and prefers to spend a lot of her day out on the back deck, but she also loves being in the house with her humans and dog buddies.

She's done great with house training, and knows to go outside. She also does well when left home alone in a room with her bed and toys, sleeping and chewing them. She's getting comfortable with leash walking, and is excited to go out briefly. She is also skittish with unexpected inside noises, but she's slowly getting used to them.

Slava has been around young kids and she is very sweet. She gets very excited and can knock over a kiddo who isn't ready for it, but they all end up giggling and love the attention from each other. Slava is Heartworm positive, but all that means is that she will need a few months rest after treatment at APA!'s expense, and then she will be as good as new!

Her ability to adapt quickly and desire to please, learn, and be loved are proof that she will be an exceptional addition to her forever home. Come meet her today! And follow her on Instagram @adoptable_slava_93331
