Searching for a new companion? Have a look at Maisy! She is a wonderfully friendly dog who will make a great addition to your home. She's currently living with an APA! foster family and is showing us that she has the know-how to make a quick transition to your house.

You'll love Maisy's affectionate personality! She likes to give kisses, wag her tail, and cuddle with anyone that has the time. She's been great at meeting new people - she seems to love everyone she meets!

We have found Maisy to be a fantastic house guest. She is respectful of the space and just wants to be loved! Although she has no obedience training in her past, she is very teachable and wants to learn. She has been quick to learn the rules of the house, and she is already enjoying spending time in her crate, although she hasn't yet had formal crate training. She has been doing well when left alone in the house for short increments.

Maisy does well with older kids, but since she still gets excited easily, she would be better in a house with respectful teenagers and adults. She currently does not live with dogs although she is anxious to meet the dogs she passes on the street.

She enjoys being outside and has been getting quite acclimated to leash walking. She also loves sunbathing, playing fetch, and rolling around in the grass!

We think Maisy would flourish in a low traffic home with adults and older kids. She is a quick learner who will easily pick up the rules of your home. She loves to play, and will bring a toy when she is bored, so ideally, she would join a family who will keep her engaged with new adventures and space to romp around.

And don't forget, when you adopt from APA! you won't just be giving one dog a good home - you'll also be helping the next dog who can join us! Come meet sweet Maisy today!

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?

We are currently closed to the public and are only open by appointment (foster or adopter), but we are still diligently working to place dogs in foster homes! You can inquire about fostering a specific dog by submitting an inquiry through the dog's individual profile on this website or by emailing [email protected] to get more information about how to be matched with a foster dog.

Please do not visit our shelters without talking with us first. To prevent community spread, we cannot have large crowds gathering in our shelters.
