Bango is a happy, affectionate and easy-going boy! He loves playing two-ball fetch, cooling off in the play yard pools, taking walks, and spending quiet time cuddling with his human friends. He especially loves walking and running on the hike and bike trail around Lady Bird Lake -- calmly passing people, bikes, strollers and other dogs without distraction.

Bango has excellent in-home manners. He is potty trained to go outside, can be left at home alone without causing any issues, and greets friendly houseguests with a wagging tail, a smile and an invitation for pets. He enjoys backyard time as well, playing fetch, playing in the water sprinklers, or simply hanging out with his family on the back porch or patio.

He's currently participating in APA!'s TOP Dog Program (Total Obedience Program), learning new skills to help ensure that he'll be a wonderful companion and family member in his future home. He enjoys the company of other dogs with his similar temperament and would do well in a home where he could have a balance of playtime, exercise and quiet time relaxing with the ones he loves. Come meet this happy boy and see how quickly you'll have a new best friend!

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?

We are currently closed to the public and are only open by appointment (foster or adopter), but we are still diligently working to place dogs in foster homes! You can inquire about fostering a specific dog by submitting an inquiry through the dog's individual profile on this website or by emailing [email protected] to get more information about how to be matched with a foster dog.

Please do not visit our shelters without talking with us first. To prevent community spread, we cannot have large crowds gathering in our shelters.
