Emmerson is a smart girl who understands so much. When she hears "Good morning she knows it's time to get up. And when she hears "Are you hungry? she spins around and seeks her breakfast. Then she knows it's time to run to the dog park where she can play fetch with balls and sticks. Such fun!

This playful, adventurous young girl always enjoys being around people and can be excited to meet new ones, jumping up. She's also grown up with dogs and has interacted with many at the dog parks. She does well with cats she lives with, but wants to chase new ones she sees, so needs to be very slowly introduced to them.

Emmerson does enjoy going for leash walks, just distracted when she sees other dogs. Her foster brings treats to get her attention back. At home, she is very cuddly and loves getting his attention, falling asleep on him, and tapping him with her paw when she's hungry.

She's an obedient girl who understands sit, shake, high five, and spin. She does well in the house when her foster is away from home, and she is house-trained. She mostly sleeps on her foster's bed or her own bed.

Emmerson is a sweet, cuddly, smart girl who will love to move in with active pet parents who can take her on walks and continue her training. She will love having a doggie playmate, too. Come meet her. Offer her attention and playtime and she'll run home with you!

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?

This pup is currently located at our Town Lake Animal Center (1156 W. Cesar Chavez, but use 1200 Reserve Road for mapping purposes). We'd love to show them off to you! To learn more about them, head in any day between 12:00PM - 6:00PM. We are open 7 days a week! Go to Building B and ask to speak with a Matchmaker about fostering this pup. You will sit down and discuss all we know about them and, if it's a good fit, get to meet them then! Please budget for a wait time unless you arrive right at opening as we cannot dictate walk-in traffic (wait times tend to be highest in the evenings and on weekends). If this pup ends up not being the best fit, we have so many other pups in need that we can suggest for your household on the spot!

Come meet your new best friend
