Penelope is a super sweet, easygoing girl who asks very little of her human friends. She does love a good morning walk, sniffing those interesting things. Then she likes breakfast and will be glad to snooze on the couch. If you're at home, she will love to lounge very close to you or cuddle on the couch for some petting. But hey, if you're away from home for your job, she'll be happy to snooze on the couch until you're back home.

When you come back home, her playful side pops out. She loves to fling her toys around and do zoomies around the house. She loves toys! Especially any stuffed animal toys, bucking around like a bull rider with them in her mouth. She also likes to go outside and relax in the sun a couple of times. Then she hopes for a prompt dinner, reminding you if it's late, and does a little more playtime outdoors before bedtime. As long as you're active, she wants to be with you, but when you're ready for bed, she goes in her crate and sleeps all night. She is a house-trained girl who answers to "sit."

Now in foster care, Penelope loves her people and will assess and make sure people are okay when strangers first come to the door. When they come in as guests, she can be excited briefly, then calms down and becomes friendly.

Penelope should love to be the only pet in a relaxed, low-traffic home with a single parent or a couple. Come meet her. Hand her a stuffed toy and she'll follow you home!
