Introducing Cheerio, a beguiling housetrained three-month old Terrier mix. Cheerio lives with other dogs in her foster home and is gentle with her pup friends. She is friendly and tentative, but she approaches them eagerly and slowly - she wants to be friends.

Cheerio currently lives in a home with children under the age of five and does great with them. She is gentle and is very tolerant of having "forts" built around her and of getting snuggles from a 3-year old.

She is crate trained and does well in her crate at night. She whines a little at first when being put in her crate, but then quickly settles down to sleep. She has been trained to use the doggie door, and she is still a puppy and is learning the ways of the leash and obedience training, but she is so smart she should be trained in no time.

Cheerio does fine meeting new people. She is friendly and gentle to all humans and is a cuddle bug who wants to snuggle and be petted. Her best quality is her gentleness. She doesn't have the typical puppy-biting behavior either. She is very sweet and loving! She loves chewing bones and laying in the sun and is very mellow for a puppy.

Cheerio would be fine in most homes and can easily adapt to homes with other pets and children. Do you have room in your heart and a place in your home for the sweet gentle Cheerio? Come meet her today!

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
