Juliet is such a people puppy. She wants to be with them all the time, closely walking behind them, staying where she can watch them - and very much hoping to cuddle with them and get their belly rubs. She can be shy when first meeting them, but warms up quickly.

Now in foster care, this active, playful girl loves being in her new home. She's happy to start a day by going outdoors to play fetch and do some zoomies to burn her energy. Then she's glad to go back inside for her naps. She doesn't mind being on a leash, but hasn't shown much interest in going for walks, pulling to go back home. She's curious and interested in dogs she sees, but has shown no aggressive behavior. And she's excited to see kids, hoping to jump and play with them.

She's a very smart girl who already understands "sit" and "stay." She's also almost completely house-trained, and she goes out to potty first thing in the morning. She was introduced to a crate and was happy to go in and out and sleep there until she discovered it was closed and she couldn't get out to follow her humans. Now she sleeps on her bed through the night.

Juliet will love a home with playmate parents who are home all the time and can continue her training. Come promise she can stay close to you and she'll follow you home.

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
