Sheppie is so ready to be anyone's absolute sweetheart. This friendly young girl is happy to meet people, and with her cute smile, she is never afraid to ask for their attention and affection. She sure wants their belly rubs, and in return she'll give them so many sweet puppy kisses, wagging her tail so hard.

Now in foster care, this energetic girl comes up to her new mom and pokes her nose into her leg for attention - and petting. But if mom is working and can't play with her, this very well-behaved girl is content to play with toys or nap. She loves to hang out on the couch and snooze. She's already a pretty good leash walker, just pulling some. She loves to smile at the dogs she sees, her ears perking up and wagging her tail at them. At home, she's a cuddly girl who enjoys playing with her foster's teenage brother, calmly lying down for petting.

She's a curious, playful girl who investigates everything by sticking her nose in every nook and cranny. A little mischievous sometimes, she'll put her paws up on furniture, but hearing "uh uh," she'll back off. And she already understands "sit." She's a house-trained girl who enjoys the backyard, where of course she wants to chase those squirrels and birds. And her foster calls her a crate angel. She goes in whenever she wants to nap or chill out and sleeps there all night, doing well when home alone.

Sheppie is a social girl who will love a home with active parents and a doggie sibling. And she should do well with kids. Come meet her. She'll ask you for cuddles and give you so many kisses!

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
