Shrimply Pibbles is such a gorgeous and loving pup! He originally came to a shelter limping and the staff discovered he had been shot with a BB gun. Fragments in his leg were removed, and he has blossomed into a big love bug! Now in foster care, this energetic boy has recovered well and is having fun on walks and playing fetch.

This active, playful boy walks well on his leash. He sometimes needs a reminder to not pull and then he settles in. He seems interested in other dogs he sees out on walks. In his foster home, he is eager to play with his doggie housemates. He's a little shy when meeting new people, but soon warms up to them. He's a loving boy who adores getting their pets and affection. He even enjoys getting a shower bath and blow dry from his fosters.

He's also being trained to obey "sit" and he's doing well with his house-training, waiting for his scheduled outdoor breaks. Inside, he's happy to rest and play with his chew toys, doing well in his crate for several hours and while he's home alone, then coming out to lean against his people for their affection. As a big excited puppy, he can sometimes get a little mouthy in his play, but he is making progress in his training to curb that.

Shrimply hopes for a home with parents who are eager to give him exercise and continue his training. He'd love a dog buddy to run around with, and has potential to live with a cat with a slow introduction. He is heartworm positive, but all that means is that he'll need a couple of months of rest at home during treatment, at APA!'s expense. Come meet this fun-loving boy!

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
