Rooney is always so excited to see her new human friends. This very gentle puppy already loves them so much, even strangers she meets. Now in foster care, she follows her foster mom room to room, wanting to be with her, laying at her feet or cuddling on the couch and curling up on her lap.

She is an energetic girl who also loves to go on walks and does well. She can be slightly excited and sometimes stops to smell things, but never tugs on her leash. She has met a dachshund and was tentative at first, but then was very gentle and playful with him. At home, she also loves her dinosaur stuffed animal and likes chewing her toys. She's making progress on her potty training, learning to go outside. And she nicely free roams the house, just snoozing on the couch when her foster is away.

This easygoing, low-maintenance girl will fit well in any home with a loving family. And she'll love a backyard to explore. Come meet this lovable girl. Give her the affection she loves and she'll follow you home!

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
