Sun is such a sunny love-sponge. Now in foster care, this affectionate girl is happiest when she can be a lapdog on the couch, getting pettings, belly rubs and head scratching. She can also be a snoozing couch potato who loves treats, licking peanut butter from Kongs - and watching squirrels.

She's a shy girl who loves people and wants their attention. She is still a bit uncertain, having come to the shelter stressed from previously being shuffled around and with some medical issues. She has a mass growing on her side and may be blind in her right eye because of an old injury or infection. But her confidence is growing since she came to a home with loving people. She is a great leash walker, staying by her walker's side and trotting along, only pulling if she sees a cat. At home, this gentle girl settles in and spends much of the day napping quietly, happy if a person is nearby.

She understands "sit" and she loves treats, so seems motivated to learn more. She is mostly house-trained and although she needs a bit of encouragement to go in her crate, she has done well there when her fosters are away.

Sun will love a home where she can happily hang out with her people while they work and watch TV. Ideally, she will have patient parents who can continue helping this shy lady gain confidence. She will also do best as the only pet. She is heartworm positive, but all that means is that she'll need a couple of months of rest during treatment, at APA!'s expense. Come meet this lovable cutie!
