Meet Zuko! He is a very friendly pointer mix who is a calm and loving pup, and is also playful. He will enjoy being by your side, sitting near your feet while you sit on the couch. He would like to sit on the couch, too, but will stay down if told to do so. Now in foster care, he's very friendly with the 10- and 12-year-old kids in his foster home, and he gets along well with their female dog.

Zuko came to APA! with a back leg injured after being hit by a car. He's taking medications, is healing, and will not need surgery. He can be flexible but would love a home where he can bask in the sun or just lay on the patio. He walks well on leash and is friendly to other dogs and people. He is mostly crate-trained and will sleep in the crate at night as long as he has a soft bed in his crate. He has no accidents at night.

His fosters will surely miss him, but hope he goes to a home that will give him the love and attention he deserves. Come meet this sweet boy! He will be your loyal companion.

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
