Hondo is a gentle giant who loves all people as much as he loves his toys -- his plushie gator, his crinkly squishy beaver, and his antlers. He'll toss and flip his toys, and then he's so ready to curl up on the couch with his people, cuddling with them and his dog buddy while they're watching TV. To him, this is hanging out with his pack! He's so comfortable, confident and happy with them.

He's a bit shy when first meeting people, but attaches to them very quickly and always wants to be in the same room with them. Now in foster care, this playful, social boy has a great relationship with his doggie housemate. They love to cuddle and sometimes do roughhouse playing. He's seen other dogs on walks and is interested in them. He's also interested in his foster's two cats and also not aggressive, but when one ran away from him, he did try to chase it, so he may do best in a cat-free home. He enjoys leash walks with his people, walking calmly and without tugging.

Hondo is a smart boy who understands "wait" and "sit," he's a very well-behaved gem. He touches nothing in the home that he hasn't been invited to play with or sit on. He is house-trained, knowing when and where to go, and getting more accustomed to his crate. He just doesn't want to be separated from his people. He settles down and free roams when his fosters are away, just finding things to chew if he's bored.

This active, energetic boy will love parents who are with him most of the time, can take him for walks and to dog parks and continue his training, especially to convince him to not jump on people. A dog buddy playmate will be great, and he'll want plenty of chew toys. Come meet this total love bug. He'll be very happy to adapt to your home!
