Big girl, big heart! Carli and Cletus were found in an abandoned house and were a day away from euthanasia when APA rescued them. This good girl was well taken care of and much loved in her former life. She's very friendly with all humans, trusting them and loves to be petted. Now in foster care, she's gotten along fine with their 13-year-old grandson. Carli is very smart and oh so funny.

Carli is looking for a loving home and owners strong enough to handle a 100-lb sweetheart on a leash. This gorgeous lady is already queen of the castle -- totally house-trained (never an accident) and not one bark (so far). She does well when her foster is away. She does whimper a bit when she sees a squirrel out the window. Now in foster care with Cletus, she's been on a walk with their two dogs. She was great with their Golden Retriever, but too exuberant with their Cocker Spaniel who's scared of dogs her size. She and Cletus are now separated because she loves to kiss him by licking his head and that has caused a wound.

During July 4th fireworks and thunderstorms, Carli was unphased. The handyman came with the sander and made loud noises for 2 hours and she did not even blink - she napped through it. She's a good sleeper-both during the day when you're busy and at nighttime. Carli loves to eat. In her former life, she had food available all the time, which is why she's a tad too heavy. On a good feeding schedule, she'll recapture her svelte figure. She's very strong and pulls hard on her leash, so she'll do best in a home with equally strong teenagers.

If you're looking for an intelligent, funny, well-adjusted, happy dog, Carli's your gal. Don't miss another day of the joy she brings. Come meet her today!
