Mindy is a very lucky young girl. She was found abandoned and roaming corn fields north of Austin. Now she's in foster care where she loves to cuddle and play with her new human and doggie friends. She warmed up to her new fosters right away. And she's having great fun with their two dogs. She loves dogs!

Mindy also loves people. She loves giving them kisses and cuddling with them. She also likes her fosters' three cats, but the cats are not great fans of dogs. She is learning about leash walking, still a little skittish but warming up to it. At home, she's great at greeting visitors. She loves to play with her dog buddies in the backyard, then chew her bones and snuggle on the couch. She's a smart girl who comes when called and answers to "sit." Her house-training is 80% done; she's learning to ask to go outside. And she's working on crate training. She prefers it when her humans are home, but is adjusting to her fosters' absence during the day.

Mindy will do well in most homes with patient parents who can continue her training. She will also love dog buddies. She is heartworm positive, but all that means is that she'll need a couple of months of rest during treatment, at APA!'s expense. Come meet this adorable girl. And you can see more about her on Instagram: @fosteringfosters.

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
