Dante is such a playful snuggle-bug. He will nuzzle his head into your lap as though he wants to hide there. For sure, it means he wants to be loved. Now in foster care, his foster mom sits on the floor with him and he immediately comes up for petting, and then he lounges at her feet while she's in the kitchen. He always wants his human to be near him.

This playful boy came to APA! with a fractured right hind leg. Now he has fully recovered and is enjoying lively activity. He's leaping and bounding around his foster's backyard, looking for his next stick to chew, and he's having fun on 3- and 4-mile runs. He's up for catching toys and playing tug-of-war.

Dante is getting along well with his foster's 8-year-old Bulldog and is relaxed with her 11-month-old son, licking his fingers through the baby gate. On his leash walks, he tends to get excited about things he sees, such as cars and dogs. He's on medication for some anxiety about cars he sees and being left alone. At home, he understands "sit" and is working on "wait," making leaps of progress with his indoor behavior. He is house-trained and is also making progress on being crated.

This sweet boy hopes for a quiet, low-traffic home with patient parents who will be with him a lot and can continue his training. He's a big, strong boy, so he should do best with equally strong adults and older kids. Come meet him. He's ready to blossom so much!
